Why does Apple not include a cable like this?
There are lots of 3rd Party options for a 2 in 1 charge cable for Apple Watch and iPhone or iPad users. This one available on Amazon fits the bill and currently sits at $10.99.
I have two of these and travel with them to charge up a couple watches (one for me and one for the wife) and iPhones/iPads. This one does come with a couple nice add-ons the make it a bit nicer than the other options available:
- a little suction cup to hold the watch inductive charger in place on nightstand
- and an adapter to make this cable work with a standard (type A) USB port or the newer and faster type C (USB3) port (depending on your charger brick options)
